ATLANTA -- Philadelphia center fielder Shane Victorino was "feeling under the weather" and held out of the lineup Friday night against the Braves.
Phillies manager Charlie Manuel started Ben Francisco in center field, batting in Victorino's usual No. 2 spot in the order. Manuel declined to elaborate when asked about Victorino, who left the Phillies' game Thursday in the seventh inning after going 0 for 3.
Victorino is hitting .290 with 17 homers and 59 RBIs in 384 career at-bats against the Braves. This year, however, his average has dipped to .164 in 61 at-bats.
Francisco, acquired in a July 31 trade with Cleveland, was 1 for 2 against the Braves.
Manuel also said he's leaning toward starting Joe Blanton in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday at Florida. Jamie Moyer would start the second.
